The Bambu Lab A1 mini is the smallest FDM printer in the Bambu Lab range: a 180 × 180 × 180 mm build volume in a 347 × 315 × 365 mm, 5.5 kg body that fits on a desk or a classroom bench. It is aimed at first-time users, students and anyone who wants to print without tuning a machine, because bed levelling, flow calibration and vibration compensation all run automatically before every job.
Add the AMS lite (sold separately, or bundled in the A1 mini Combo) to print up to four colours or materials in one job. AMS lite is the open-frame feeder designed for the A series; the enclosed AMS units used by the P, X and H series do not fit the A1 mini.
For toys, figures, household parts and prototypes under 18 cm, the A1 mini is the best-value machine in the Bambu Lab line-up. If you need the 256 mm build volume and 100°C bed, look at the Bambu Lab A1; for ABS, ASA or engineering filaments that need an enclosure, step up to the P2S.

The build volume is 180 × 180 × 180 mm, so roughly 18 cm per side. Larger parts can be split and assembled, or choose the A1 with its 256 mm volume.
Not recommended. The A1 mini is open-frame with an 80°C bed; Bambu Lab lists PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA as ideal. For regular ABS/ASA work choose an enclosed model such as the P2S.
Same motion system and print quality; the difference is size. The A1 mini prints 180 mm with an 80°C bed and weighs 5.5 kg; the A1 prints 256 mm with a 100°C bed. Both use the same AMS lite.
