The four filaments that cover 95% of real work: strengths, weaknesses, printing difficulty, and which parts to print with what.
PLA: easiest, stiff, great surface — default for models and indoor parts; weak in heat (car dashboards will warp). PETG: tougher, slightly flexible, handles sun and moisture — brackets, outdoor parts, mechanical pieces. ABS: heat-resistant and post-processable but needs an enclosure and ventilation — automotive and functional parts. TPU: flexible rubber-like — phone cases, gaskets, wheels. Start with PLA, add PETG when parts start doing real work, move to ABS only with an enclosed printer. All four are stocked in many colours at our branches — house-brand and premium lines.
