The Bambu Lab A1 is the standard model of the A series

The Bambu Lab A1 is an open-frame FDM printer with a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume that brings the full automatic-calibration suite of the larger Bambu machines to an accessible price. Before every job it levels the bed, sets the Z offset, measures filament flow and compensates for vibration on its own; you pick a file and press print. The 385 × 410 × 430 mm, 8.2 kg body suits homes, classrooms and small studios.

Specifications that matter in daily use

• Up to 500 mm/s with 10,000 mm/s² acceleration on metal linear rails.
• 300°C all-metal hotend and a bed that reaches 100°C, higher than the A1 mini, which helps PETG adhesion and keeps TPU stable.
• 1-clip quick-swap nozzle in 0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm.
• Active motor noise cancelling for about 49 dB in normal printing.
• 1080p low-frame-rate camera for remote monitoring and timelapses, plus run-out, tangle and power-loss recovery sensors.
• Ideal materials: PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA. ABS, ASA, PC and PA are not recommended without an enclosure.

Multi-colour with AMS lite

The A1 accepts the AMS lite (sold separately, or bundled as the A1 Combo) for up to four colours per unit. It can also connect to an AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT through the AMS HUB accessory if you want built-in filament drying.

Who the A1 is for

Beginners who want the full 256 mm build volume, schools and universities that need a low-maintenance machine, and shops printing large quantities of PLA and PETG. If your work needs ABS or engineering filaments, consider the enclosed P2S in the same size class; for a bigger A-series bed, see the A2L (330 × 320 × 325 mm).
