The Bambu Lab P2S is the enclosed successor to the P1S

The Bambu Lab P2S is an enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume, developed from the best-selling P1S. It adds a 5-inch touchscreen, AI failure detection, a PMSM servo extruder and automatic Flow Dynamics calibration. It is the right choice for people who want to print temperature-sensitive materials such as ABS, ASA or carbon-filled PETG at home or in an office, and for shops that need a machine that can run unattended.

Enclosure and airflow management

The sealed chamber holds up to around 50°C through an Adaptive Airflow System of flap-controlled vents. When printing engineering filaments the printer keeps the heat in; when printing PLA it opens to draw in cool outside air. One machine covers both jobs without modification.

Multi-colour and filament drying with AMS 2 Pro

The P2S works with the AMS 2 Pro, an enclosed feeder with built-in filament drying. Each unit adds four colours and several can be chained. If you want the AMS 2 Pro included, choose the P2S Combo.

When to choose the P2S

Choose the P2S when you need reliable ABS/ASA/PETG-CF printing, a machine that still prints hot materials in an air-conditioned room, or a small print farm of self-monitoring printers. If most of your work is PLA on a tight budget, the A1 is cheaper at the same size; if you need a second nozzle for dedicated support material, look at the X2D.

P2S vs X2D vs H2S: when to step up

The P2S is the single-nozzle enclosed model that covers almost every engineering material at the most accessible price of the group. The X2D adds a second nozzle for soluble supports or two colours without filament swaps, plus a chamber heater and 1,000 mm/s. The H2S offers the largest build volume in the line-up and a 350 °C nozzle for high-temperature materials. If your work is PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and carbon-filled parts under 25 cm, the P2S is the sweet spot.

Filaments it prints

Bambu Lab lists PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PET, PA, PC and PVA, support materials for PLA/PETG/ABS, and fibre-filled filaments including PLA-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF and PET-CF. It prints far more than the A series because it is enclosed, the bed reaches 110 °C, and both the nozzle and the extruder gears are hardened steel that stands up to abrasive filament. The built-in activated-carbon filter cuts odour and VOCs when printing ABS or ASA in an office.

Space, power and connectivity

The printer is 392 mm wide, 406 mm deep and 478 mm tall and weighs 14.9 kg; an AMS 2 Pro usually sits on top, so allow for the extra height. On 220 V it peaks at 1,200 W while heating the bed and runs at about 200 W printing PLA. Keep the room between 10 and 30 °C. Connectivity is dual-band Wi-Fi only — there is no Ethernet port — with 8 GB of built-in storage and a USB port. Print from Bambu Studio on macOS, Windows or Linux, or from the Bambu Handy app.
