Resin (SLA/LCD) printers cure liquid resin layer by layer — surface detail far beyond filament printing, which is why miniature, jewelry-prototype and dental work lives here. The trade-offs: liquid resin needs gloves and ventilation, prints must be washed and UV-cured, and build volumes are smaller per baht. Get resin if detail is the point; stay FDM if you print functional parts. Budget for a wash/cure station, spare FEP film and IPA from day one.
