The CUTRA CtrlAX vibrates its blade 40,000 times per second, so it passes through plastic, resin and hard materials with very little pressure. It suits cutting supports off 3D prints, trimming edges and model making. The manufacturer rates it best for plastics up to 3 mm thick.

Three power modes

Eco — the lightest, for thin and soft materials such as leather, paperboard and soft resin.
Comfort — moderate, for thick soft or thin hard materials.
Sport — the strongest, for thick hard materials such as hard resin and carbon fibre.

What it cuts

Plastic, resin, acrylic panel, leather, PVC, PVC foam board, rubber, carbon materials and vacuum-forming sheet.
