Stringing, popping sounds, rough surfaces, weak parts — Thailand's humidity ruins filament fast. How to spot it and fix it.
In Thai humidity, filament absorbs moisture within days of opening. Symptoms: popping/hissing while printing, excessive stringing, rough or bubbly surfaces, brittle parts. Fix: dry the spool — a filament dryer is the safe route (PLA ~45-50°C several hours, PETG a bit hotter; follow your dryer's presets). Prevention: store opened spools in sealed boxes or bags with silica gel, and buy desiccant in bulk. Hygroscopic materials (TPU, nylon) need this discipline the most. Dryers, dry-boxes and silica are stocked at our branches.
