The Pro tank uses a film with broader chemical compatibility than the standard tank. Formlabs optimised it for Tough 1500 Resin V2 and for every material that needs Open Material Mode on the Form Studio 1, whether another Formlabs resin without Form Studio 1 settings or a third-party 405 nm resin. Like the standard tank it includes a reusable lid, stacks, and stores resin outside the printer.

The standard Form Studio 1 tank is tuned for Alpha Resins, which gives the fastest prints and best finish with those materials, but Formlabs states that Tough 1500 Resin V2 and most third-party resins contain ingredients that damage that film. They must be printed in the Pro tank. If you plan to use Open Material Mode, this is the first accessory to buy.
Rated for at least 75,000 layers, roughly 190 average-height (39 mm) prints at 100 µm according to Formlabs. The film cannot be replaced, as on the standard tank.

Full tax invoice on every order. Our team at True Digital Park, Seacon Bangkae and Central Sriracha can help match tanks to the resins you use.
For Tough 1500 Resin V2, for other Formlabs resins that have no Form Studio 1 print settings, and for any third-party resin in Open Material Mode. Alpha Resins, Flexible 80A V2 and True Cast use the standard tank.
No. In Open Material Mode automatic dispensing is disabled, so you pour resin into the Pro tank by hand and set your own exposure settings in PreForm.
Formlabs rates it for more than 75,000 layers with Formlabs materials. The film is not replaceable; the tank is the consumable.
Technically yes, but Formlabs does not recommend it and provides no settings for it: with user-made settings expect roughly 60% of the print speed of the standard tank, which also costs less. Keep Alpha Resins in the standard tank.
