What the Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga is

The Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga is a giant FDM 3D printer with an 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume on a CNC-machined aluminium extrusion frame, weighing 104 kg. It exists so that oversized parts can be printed in one piece instead of being sliced into sections and glued: signage, props and display pieces, full-size prototypes, architectural models, and print shops that want to take on big jobs.

Highlights

• 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume on an 820 × 820 mm magnetic PEI platform.
• Heated bed split into four independent 410 × 410 mm zones: heat only the zone you use for small parts, or the whole bed for large ones.
• 300°C nozzle, 100°C bed, up to 300 mm/s toolhead speed and 5,000 mm/s² acceleration.
• 100-point (10 × 10) automatic bed levelling across the whole platform.
• Multi-nozzle capable: add printheads (sold separately) to print several parts at once on one bed.
• Filament run-out detection, resume after power loss, and caterpillar cable tracks that protect the wiring from wear and dust.
• USB, LAN and Wi-Fi file transfer; STL and OBJ.

Materials

Elegoo lists PLA, PETG and TPU. The Giga is open-frame with no heated enclosure, so ABS and ASA are not recommended. For large parts use low-shrinkage PLA or PETG and load big spools (the spool holder takes 5 kg rolls) to avoid changes during long jobs.

Space and power

The machine measures 1,224 × 1,164 × 1,425 mm and needs roughly 1,224 × 1,520 × 1,570 mm of working space. It runs on 220–240 V and draws 1,530 W with a single printhead (about 100 W more per additional head). Place it on a level, load-bearing floor with its own outlet.

In the box

The printer ships as two main assemblies (the base with the XY axes, and two Z-axis components) with the printhead, control screen, levelling plates, spool holder arm and 5 kg spool holder assembly, two filament breakage detectors, power cable, levelling card, grease, eight corner brackets, tools, fasteners and the manual.
