HeyGears UltraPrint-Casting PAC10 — Violet, 1 kg

PAC10 is the castable wax resin for jewellery. It carries 70–80 % wax, burns out clean with an ash value of 0.02 %, and prints walls down to 0.12 mm with 0.03 mm tolerance. In practice that means crisp prongs, readable engraving and far less bench time cleaning up a casting before you can set a stone.

HeyGears UltraPrint-Casting PAC10 violet wax casting resin bottle

Who is it for?

  • Jewellery casting in gold, silver, platinum and brass.
  • Fine filigree and pavé settings – 0.12 mm minimum wall thickness.
  • Signet rings and engraved pieces – lettering survives burnout.
  • Small casting houses that need repeatable trees, not one-offs.

Why people choose it

  • 70–80 % wax content – behaves like carving wax in the flask.
  • Ash value 0.02 % – clean burnout with minimal residue.
  • 0.12 mm minimum wall, 0.03 mm tolerance.
  • Detailed surface, so finishing time after casting drops sharply.

Which printers can use it?

UltraCraft Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2, Reflex 2 Pro This resin requires the Pulsing Release Module kit — it will not print reliably without it.

Good to know before you print

  • Shake the bottle well before pouring; pigment settles.
  • Wash in 95% IPA, then UV-cure. Short, even cure times keep fine detail from going chalky.
  • Store closed, upright, dark and dry at room temperature.
  • Wear nitrile gloves and work in a ventilated space while the resin is liquid.

FAQ

Common questions

Which HeyGears printers can I use it with?

It is officially supported on UltraCraft Reflex, Reflex Turbo, Reflex 2, Reflex 2 Pro. This resin requires the Pulsing Release Module kit — it will not print reliably without it.

Can I burn it out in a normal jewellery kiln?

Yes. PAC10 is a 70–80 % wax-filled casting resin with an ash value of 0.02 %, so it burns out cleanly in a standard investment burnout cycle. Follow your investment supplier’s ramp for resin patterns and give it a slightly longer soak than carving wax.

How fine can I go?

Minimum wall thickness is 0.12 mm and dimensional tolerance is 0.03 mm, which covers filigree, pavé seats and fine lettering. The surface comes out detailed enough that most pieces need much less pre-cast cleanup than a general-purpose resin.

How do I wash and cure it?

Wash in 95% IPA — about 2 minutes rough wash plus 1 minute fine wash in an UltraCraft Wash at 180 r/min — then dry-cure for roughly 30 minutes in an UltraCraft Cure. Short, even curing keeps fine detail from going chalky.

How should I store it, and is it safe to handle?

Keep the bottle closed, upright, dark and dry at room temperature, and shake it well before every pour because the pigment settles. Unopened bottles keep for about 12 months from the production date on the label. Liquid resin irritates skin, so wear nitrile gloves and eye protection and work in a ventilated space. Fully cured parts are safe to handle.
