HeyGears UltraPrint-Modeling PAS10 — Black, 1 kg

PAS10 is the everyday standard resin — the one you buy by the case. It prints a fully matte surface with no layer lines visible to the naked eye, holds tolerance under 0.05 mm and is tough enough not to snap when you clip supports off. In black it is a photographer’s resin: matte black hides nothing and shows every sculpted edge.

Is PAS10 a good general-purpose resin?

Yes — it is the sensible default. Medium viscosity, moderate strength and toughness, tolerance under 0.05 mm and a fully matte finish with no visible layer lines. It is the resin most Reflex owners keep on the shelf for everyday prototyping and figure work.

Anything I should watch out for?

Two things. PAS10 does not support the automatic resin refilling feature, so top the tank up by hand. And because the finish is matte rather than glossy, do a light primer coat if you want a high-gloss painted result.

How do I wash and cure it?

Wash in 95% IPA — about 2 minutes rough wash plus 1 minute fine wash in an UltraCraft Wash at 180 r/min — then dry-cure for roughly 30 minutes in an UltraCraft Cure. Short, even curing keeps fine detail from going chalky.

How should I store it, and is it safe to handle?

Keep the bottle closed, upright, dark and dry at room temperature, and shake it well before every pour because the pigment settles. Unopened bottles keep for about 12 months from the production date on the label. Liquid resin irritates skin, so wear nitrile gloves and eye protection and work in a ventilated space. Fully cured parts are safe to handle.
